Getting onboard and getting a treatment plan with my insurance was very easy. My therapist was fantastic and helped me very much in the 12 weeks I worked with her.
Terese is wonderful
The programs is wonderful and helped me quite a bit when I was at a low point
Excellent folks who provide timely services. Highly recommended.
Exceeded my expectations; highly recommend
I went here to get T.M.S treatment. I will say that the staff here and the doctors are really nice and helpful I truly enjoyed my experience going here.
Love the staff
Outstanding service from a welcoming and professional team.
I initially gave the Torrance location five stars, they had a very impressive nurse who was kind and compassionate and I felt the TMS generally provided good results despite the anxiety of having to go every single day and working this into my schedule every single day. Afterwards, I was well enough to continue without further treatment until a while later when I felt like medication management and talk therapy may help. I contacted the Manhattan Beach location and everything went downhill from there. I was told they no longer offer long-term therapy, they provide a very short-term therapy only at which time if needed, they would transfer you elsewhere. You have to explain your situation and begin treatment and if you're not immediately healed, you have to start all over again from the beginning. And they said this was due to an increased demand on their resources. Then I began seeing Christine Lafferty and it only got worse. You can talk for 1 minute or 10 minutes straight and she'll immediately reply with, "yeaaahhhhh" in a tone more appropriate for a toddler than a grown adult. This was also noticed by a close friend of mine who was able to mimic the same exact wording and tone indicating I'm not the only one that receives this. Then I realized, she was going to continually push redoing the TMS treatment despite my continued efforts to advise her this was no longer feasible as it requires daily treatment. I no longer have a schedule that will accommodate this and frankly, the stress and anxiety of driving 45 minutes away for an hour long appointment and then 45 minutes back just to go back to work was never something I was going to look forward to. I previously had a schedule that was more accommodating which I no longer have. I explained this on every single visit, which she promptly ignored and continued to suggest the same treatment. It was only one visit where I was able to steer the conversation away from TMS treatment and my lack of desire to pursue this a second time, most notably because the results were not long-lasting. She advised there was a specific medication she did not wish to increase, or that we could not increase, and sat there until I suggested maybe we try a new medication in the same class. This happened multiple times in this visit, nothing new was suggested or offered unless I suggested it first. And then it says if she just went with my suggestions, and she did. I'm not paying a bunch of money to manage my own medications, I was looking to outsource that to a professional as most people do. This was the last time I ever met with Christine Lafferty. Fast forward then to the snarky support staff who both myself and my close friend had the unfortunate job of communicating with. The building was random, random amounts at random time frames and very different from my initial treatment which was consistent every visit. There were no changes to my insurance or otherwise nor were there any changes to my friend's billable information. But we would get random bills which would cause the insurance to start contacting both of us and when we asked, we received no sort of suitable reply of any kind. They got behind, by months apparently, and we're billing in an effort to catch up versus on time and consistent with appointments. This means that the method of payment you put down, which they require you do in the beginning, is also randomly billed. Sometimes for $25, sometimes $50, sometimes several hundred dollars. You're given no notice of these nor are you provided dates of any billing, they just take and don't say anything until you question it. 10/10 on the first round at the Torrance location only. 0/10, would never pursue or recommend anyone pursue treatment at the Manhattan Beach location. From the staff to the processes, everyone I've spoken with says it's not worth the tremendous effort by the patient.
