I was in a motorcycle accident in June of 2018 that resulted in an amputation, a permanent rod through the length of my femur, and a severe brachial plexus injury. I have been in pain every day since then. “Come in and see us in person...We love our patients...” is a quote from their website. However when I went in during normal business hours no one was there to assist me, and when I received a return call two days later, initially Dr. Scott was sent to my prank voicemail greeting that I had forgotten I had set up before we actually got a chance to speak, her voicemail only said, “What a weirdo.” While I realize my prank greeting was probably not what Dr. Scott was expecting at 9 AM, I was still alarmed. I called her back just to inform her that perhaps she should be more careful and people who are in pain all the time may not like it if you leave them voicemails insulting them. Dr Scott at first said she was sorry then immediately blamed me and my voicemail, denied ever calling me a weirdo, (which I have a saved voicemail of her saying) and told me “She hopes someone else can help me.” said with obvious sarcasm. As a pain patient “empathy” is an important quality in any doctor, I experienced none.
