Ketamine Health Centers — Ketamine Clinic in Altamonte Springs, FL

This center closed in Dec 2023 and never notified me. No phone call, no email, no letter in the mail. Completely blown off by these people. Super disappointing. I can’t even get my medical records from here, and going forward, with another clinic has been challenging to get the right dosage. Whoever was in charge here did a disservice to everyone who came through the door.

I only have amazing things to say about this center! I have a really bad major chronic depression and ketamine treatment is the only thing working for me for a couple of years if I’m having a relapse. After getting this treatment in Canada and moving here, I started coming to the Altamonte Center when I had flares and it really helped me. The staff is amazing, and I know you are temporarily closed, but I can’t thank Erica, Shaun, Tyler and Molly enough for taking such good care of me. Also, even though they are closed, I’m still being checked online by a specialist and if my symptoms get worse they get in touch with me to make sure I have support and help. Honestly, you don’t see that often!

The staff are so genuinely kind, which is refreshing when receiving care for treatment-resistant depression. Ketamine works differently for everyone, but I found the treatments to bring relief I have never experienced elsewhere. Still going every month or so for boosters, just definitely worth it.

I had a series of 5 Ketamine treatments a few months ago. The first two were amazing. The 3rd was a bit scary but when I called for assistance the NP was there in a moment and eased the dosage a bit. The 4th & 5th experiences were wonderful! It's been several months now, and I find myself slipping a little backwards into negativity, which is what I'd hoped the Ketamine would help with...and did! So now, I'm going to go for a follow-up to help pull me up from the onset of depression I'm beginning to feel once again, with this past week having been extremely stressful for me. I've read a few reviews where they experienced unpleasant 'journey' which is how I'd describe my 3rd experience. I believe that to be associated with agitation I'd experienced prior to the treatment, having been told I was going to need major back surgery. This might have impacted my experience in that particular session. It doesn't mean you're unattended or in any danger. Overall I believe this treatment to be excellent for uplifting ones spirits in general. I'll continue with 'boosters' when needed.

Two treatments down with four more to go! Spent 10 years under VA health care, and I have never felt this level of relief from suffering. If you have major depression, PTSD, GAD, OCD, et cetera, et cetera (the list goes on) then it would benefit you and your family to look into this treatment program. I will update after each new treatment, but so far this is the only thing in this last decade that makes any sense. I'm able to begin to breathe and smile again. Here's to the next four treatments!! Edit/Update: I wrote this post over two years ago. I have routinely been treated with ketamine therapy, SGB, and through one of their original therapists (Martha Sims) for these years now. I have worked closely with them, always allowing them to set care instructions on medications their way and simply hoping for the best. New growth in neuroplasticity takes time. I went from being a disabled veteran with cPTSD whom constantly struggled with suicidal ideations, depression, anxiety, rage/uncontrollable emotions, and virtually unable to care for myself while I was on a constant pharmacopeia regimen under the care of the VA for over a decade. That care ended when I started my journey to treat cPTSD through this facility. Today, in a separate space, my language tutor informed me that I can read and write a new language. I can read and write both in Hindi and Sanskrit in under four months. I am a native english speaking 38yo Texan living in FL who is now on his way to being bilingual. I sleep easy each night. I don't cry myself to sleep. I enjoy most peoples company now. I wake up happy and ready for each day. I practice yoga. I feed the birds. I lay out in the sun with a smile. I cannot say enough good things about Ketamine Health Center in Altamonte Springs. First, Erica and Sean are some of the most personable and caring people I have ever met, and make me feel so comfortable during every treatment. I did the first 6 infusions as recommended, and go back every 4-6 weeks for maintenance infusions. Ketamine infusions literally saved my life, and I have been close to being depression-free for the first time in 10 years. Having tried pretty much all other treatments out there (TMS, ECT, many different medications), I am SO happy to have found something that works for me and my treatment-resistant depression. Ketamine Health Center made that possible for me, and I am forever grateful.

I’m grateful for this office. I have horrific debilitating GAD and PTSD. Erika is always so pleasant, caring and helpful. The NP is super laid back and makes you feel at home, he got jokes too 😊 Glad I found this place after extensive research.

Everyone will have a different experience for these infusions. I am very glad not only to find that Ketamine infusions worked for me but also to have this wonderful office to go to! I have a sensitive system so, having my husband and nurse/therapist/infusion expert Minerva with me for each treatment made a difference. A BIG shoutout to Taylor. You have helped so much with your efficiency and bedside manner, going beyond typical receptionist duties. Anytime there was a situation, you were quick to resolve it. I am also very happy with the zoom therapy sessions I am currently getting from Tamika. Just for reference, I had the first 6 infusions Dec-Jan 2021-22 and then one booster end of March 2022. Doing very well here in Mid May 2022 thanks in large part to the Altamonte office.

10/10 would try again

I had a very bad experience with this health center during my third infusion. Caution: There are no medical doctors on-site. I discovered this by asking if I could speak with a doctor before my second treatment! This is not OK when administering ketamine, an anesthetic! There is only a nurse and a receptionist. If you want to pursue ketamine infusion therapy go with a reputable organization headed by credentialed medical doctors. ie., The Ketamine Institute in Sarasota, FL. You must be alert in FL because these ketamine centers are popping up all over with little to no regulatory oversight.
