Dr maxwell mclleure is the best so humble so caring so helping
As a small business owner myself like Elavate, it hurts me to write this review. I made an appointment with Dr Maxwell for Telehealth services initial first meeting. I was told a week ago it was today at 11am. I cleared my work schedule to make this happen. After sitting in waiting room for 20 minutes I get a phone call that the doctor was sick. Normally any practice like this, the doctor calls in sick and the team member call patients to reschedule immedietaly. this is pure incompetence by staff. As I read the other 1 star reviews they are eerily similar to mine. All speaking of the same issue. I demanded to see a shrink later or tomorrow or Wednesday, they offered me a nurse practitioner instead? I willl not continue here. save yourself the troubles. additionally a lot of the 5 star reviews seem manufactured. Lots of the comments are typical of CHATGPT and Bot manufacturing, a field in which I work in. I feel like I dodged a headache here,. stay away!
Horrible experience with these people. They do not care at all for people’s time or money…
I’m extremely disappointed and disturbed by my experience with Elevate Psychiatry. This place plays with people’s lives, and their level of care is dangerously negligent. They offer appointment slots that don’t exist, fail to respond to urgent messages, and leave patients in limbo—regardless of whether you’re in a life-threatening situation or not. Their communication is almost non-existent. You’re left chasing them for updates or confirmations, only to be met with silence or empty promises. They lie about availability and give the impression that they’re here to help, but their actions show complete disregard for your wellbeing. It’s beyond unprofessional—it’s cruel. Mental health isn’t something to be taken lightly, yet this practice treats it as an afterthought. If you’re in crisis or need real help, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Elevate Psychiatry is not a safe or trustworthy place for care.
Was treated very poorly by Jessica Van Schaik. She seems to hate her job and her patients! Wrote a complaint to main office about her and they never replied
This is the worst place to look for consultation, the staff are not professional and lack of experience .
If you're looking for a dangerous, negligent psychiatric practice, look no further than Elevate Psychiatry. My experience here has been riddled with administrative incompetence, medical negligence, and an alarming disregard for patient care. This practice prioritizes profits over well-being and leaves itself wide open to legal liability. The issues began immediately with billing errors. I was repeatedly overcharged for visits due to misinformation about my co-pay, requiring me to fight for refunds. This alone was frustrating but pales compared to the negligence in my psychiatric care. Dr. Sused Hidalgo prescribed a medication for my diagnosis, but when my insurance didn’t cover it, the pharmacy suggested an alternative. She issued the new prescription within minutes—without reviewing my chart or evaluating if it was appropriate for my condition. When I raised concerns, I learned Elevate never even obtained my medical records from my previous psychiatrist. Despite completing a HIPAA form and requesting the transfer myself, they failed to follow through. This means Dr. Hidalgo prescribed medication without access to my medical history. When I pointed this out, she dismissed my concerns, stating we could “discuss it during the next visit.” There was no accountability or acknowledgment of the potential harm caused by her negligence. Hoping for better care, I was assigned to Dr. Dolores ("Doly"), whose approach was even worse. Despite providing her with genetic testing results that identified which medications would likely work for me, she dismissed them as mere “suggestions.” When I reported severe side effects from her prescribed medications—worsening anxiety, sedation, and erratic behavior—she refused to adjust the treatment plan. Dr. Doly made bizarre and offensive comments, such as: “Depressed people don’t wear makeup. I recommend some women wear makeup to feel better.” “I don’t believe in bipolar II. Depression is just a side effect of bipolar, and I think you’re bipolar I.” Her assessments were conducted entirely via Telehealth, which psychiatrists are not permitted to use for diagnosing and treating complex conditions like bipolar disorder. This is unethical and violates standard medical guidelines. On July 12, I sent a detailed email to the owner, Mr. Bhatia, outlining these issues. Despite following up with voicemails, I never received a response. My last appointment was on October 31, and as of December 10, no one from the practice has reached out. This lack of follow-up makes it clear they only care about money, not their patients’ health. Elevate Psychiatry’s negligence includes: Medical malpractice: Prescribing medications without proper evaluation or access to my medical records. HIPAA violations: Failing to request or obtain my previous medical documentation. Insurance fraud: Overcharging me despite confirmed coverage. Negligent Telehealth practices: Diagnosing and treating complex conditions remotely without required in-person evaluations. This practice is not just incompetent but dangerous. If you value your health, avoid Elevate Psychiatry. I have documented proof of every interaction to support my claims. UPDATE: Their response is utterly tone-deaf and dismissive, minimizing a series of serious, documented failures as if it were a matter of mere "feelings." A generic reply like this only reinforces their lack of accountability and disregard for patient safety.
Doctor Dolores is outstanding! Doctors in general make me feel very nervous, but she made me feel like family, in a secure and nice place where was very easy to talk about my issues. She truly listens😌. She explains about treatment plan. She was so caring that told me we can communicate through messages in the portal, and that i can message her any time, she reads every message from all her patients💕 So happy to have her as my psychiatrist!
