I saw Julie and was very disappointed. She forgot to send my script to the pharmacy. Everyone make mistakes no big deal- but after realizing she forgot she didn’t send the script in or call me. She sent a message in the portal asking if I still wanted her to send it how we discussed- instead of sending it out when she realized she had forgotten. It took 10 days to get the script to me- when I expressed the mental health issues it caused, instead of showing concern or care, Julie sent a long message of excuses. I don’t mind that she forgot or make a mistake- everyone is human. But the lack of concern she showed as a mental health professional was problematic

Compassionate, knowledgeable, trustworthy, attentive and quick. 5 stars well earned.

*Edit to this review, since I made this review this office changed WAY too many things and lost sight of what is most important. The connection one has with their doctor/therapist/NP... They had the most AMAZING Spravato Nurse Practitioner and didn't appreciate her or the connection she has with her patients. We definitely no longer recommend this place and their lack of priorities. I love this place. My brother is getting Spravato treatments every Tuesday and Thursday with Kristi Thomas. He has been going there since April(about 7 months), I drive him there twice a week from Blue Springs, it's a bit of a drive but Kristi is just amazing and definitely well worth the drive time!! My brother loves getting these treatments with Kristi so much that he said he would never even do Spravato with someone else. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kristi Thomas she has been just as therapeutic for my brother as the Spravato medication! Anybody who needs mental health care this is the place to go for sure!!

Warm, understanding, flexible & compassionate. It’s difficult to express the relief I feel from having been “heard”. Altho I met w/only one therapist, I think it’s safe to say that the others must follow suit. A standard is a standard, after all, & they were all hired by the same person.

I would not recommend this practice to my friends or family. Your human interaction is limited to your appointment everything else is moderated with their website. You must enroll in automatic payments linked to your credit card for payment. You cannot be a patient unless you consent to automatic payments. This was problematic for me because they erroneously charged several hundreds of dollars to my credit account which accrued many fees. In addition, the practice can and will cancel your appointment, same day as scheduled without verbal notification. I made this mistake and waited in the lobby for 30 minutes. I was told it was due to an open balance on my account. I was referred to their website to pay and sign additional paperwork.

This place is a corrupt and only wants money. They should be sued for malpractice. Dr. Christina Layton prescribed me lamictal for my mood swings. It ended up giving me a seizure. I told her that I had a history of seizures and she didn’t seem to care. I asked four times, how do I ween off the lamictal? No response, she keeps dodging my questions and wants to discuss it. I don't wanna do that as it cost money every time I set up an appointment. What they are doing is dangerous. If I get charged again for something bogus, I will sue! This place is disgusting and only wants money!

I’ve been a patient of Kristi for spravato for over a year. She is amazing, and always make the long drive worth it. Now whoever is in charge of decor, needs to take some time to self-reflect. What once was a nice cozy room, has turned in to a sterile, lifeless, room with questionable paintings. I implore the person in charge of decor to self reflect on these decor changes and I challenge that person to make better decisions moving forward.

I’m concerned the new décor in the office might traumatize me. A sheep wrapped in barbed wire? That’s not “artsy”—that’s serial-killer starter pack. The space no longer feels warm or home-like; it now reads as cold, harsh, and frankly a bit alarming. The quilt is nice but the photo of a sheep wrapped in barbed wire—abused and suffering—is disturbing to look at, and it’s having a real impact on my psyche as everything else in the room is honestly disturbing and creates an immediate need for psychotherapy.

Inspired Psychiatric Care has changed my life. I am feeling stronger every day and I am finally getting over past trauma with the help of EMDR. All of their doctors are trustworthy, professional and extremely sensitive to their patient’s individual needs. Alongside treatment, they have also provided excellent education and books to help me do my own research. It has allowed me to grow, become healthy and truly understand my own health and body. I’m so grateful for Elizabeth Blanchard Hill, in particular. I can’t say enough about the healing they have helped me accomplish. I’m truly grateful.

I've had nothing but a positive experience at Inspired Psychiatric Care. The physician I see is very responsive. When I have sent a message via the portal...I've always received a response the same day.
