Lacking in ethical integrity and professionalism. No understanding of neurodivergences or chronic illness. Unskilled and hypocritical. I should've known better when I saw the pharmacy rep dropping off med samples that were then given to me, that this place cares more about money than the well-being of their patients.

For many, many, many years I struggled to find any help or hope in my battle with treatment resistant depression (TRD) and major depressive disorder (MDD) I’ve visited countless doctors, tried countless treatments and medications and I count Spravato among the absolute best that has ever worked for me. I never thought I’d be able to experience such a rapid change in TRD or MDD, usually it takes 3 weeks to a few months for treatments to show benefits, which when you are seriously suffering can and does leave you feeling helpless and hopeless. I recommend anyone suffering seriously reach out and consider this treatment. The treatment is not the only part of why I recommend this specific clinic. Lakes Psychiatric is run by an incredible team led by Dr. Lynne Lyons who excels at taking care of her patients with understanding and respect. I must also commend her and her team their turn around time to respond to messages and concerns, help with billing and handling of insurance. I must say that they are extremely on-top of things and it makes the whole process very streamlined so that I can focus on my treatment and health not a bunch of red tape. The reason why I would recommend this specific clinic to try this treatment is because everything you can think of to make the experience streamlined and pleasant has been thought of. First I’d start with my experience with the nurses and nursing assistants. The ones that I have been a patient of at the clinic have all been very personable, friendly and supportive. The atmosphere is very warm and caring and you never feel like you’re in a cold clinical setting. I always have felt that I can share how I’m doing openly and without judgement and be met with genuine empathy. The next part about the clinic that stands out is the treatment rooms, which are equipped with huge comfy leather chairs equipped with heated massage and adjustable back and leg settings You are offered a pillow and blanket for each session. There are also great Dyson heat and air machines, cold packs and hot packs at the ready. I can’t leave out one of the most unique and thoughtful parts of the treatment and that is that there is a wide array of delicious snacks to choose from for you to enjoy during your session from chips to trail mix, cookies to kettle chips this clinic is stacked to the hills with great snacks. In case you need anything there is a red touch button attached to the table and the staff is with you should you need them at a moments notice. It’s these touches that enhance the treatment and provide an at home feeling in a clinical office. I’ve experienced a high reduction in symptoms I thought I would never get relief from. If you’re suffering know that you don’t have to go through it alone and if you’re looking for a place that treats you as a patient and not a number then I highly recommend Lakes Psychiatric Medical Center.

Amnesia and Theresa are wonderful! They always make me laugh when I come in. Jo is absolutely great. She listens to me and give me tools to help with my illness. I just started seeing Bill, he made me feel comfortable right away.

I've suffered with OCD most of my life going through periods of remission and relapse. I've tried different types of therapy and meds over many years with varying results. Trust me, I've read all there is about intrusive thoughts and OCD in general. I "know" how to deal with these thoughts, at least, I thought I did. This past year became extremely difficult for for me so I reached out to Lakes Terry Browning for the gold standard ERP therapy. She guided me through some of the steps I knew would be there but opened up a whole new playbook on tools to have on hand for this ever changing stubborn disorder. This wasn't a "wave the magic wand" fix. We, and I say we, worked very hard at this over several months. I'm finally getting my life back and beginning to trust in myself again. I also want to mention Bill Byers at Lakes he's been wonderful as well at figuring out my meds. The team at Lakes Psychiatric are truly focused on helping people.

After decades of trying several centers, this is the first one in which all the providers talk to each other and are on the same page! Not only are all the providers professional and friendly, but also very skilled at their specialty. Excellent mental health care all the way around! Thanks to Dr.Lyons and her staff, Spravato, and DBT I am rejoining the workforce! I have also learned to live not just exist! Hands down the best psychiatrist center where everyone is your mental health advocate ! I drive an hour to Lakes and it is worth it!
