I called yesterday to see if it was possible to have my daughter’s appointment moved from Ridgeland to Flowood, since that’s closer for us. Whoever I spoke to was incredibly rude and didn’t bother to pull up my child’s information before rudely letting me know that my request was “going to take too long” and that “you can’t just switch providers”. Had she taken two seconds to let me finish or to ask for my child’s information, she would know she’s a new patient and has not been seen. Not to mention when my previous provider I guess left, not a soul bothered to inform me and I was just swapped over to someone new. I’m not understanding the difference, clearly it is indeed possible to swap providers. Finally, she pulled up her information and “rescheduled” her. I told her I also needed to make an appointment, and yes I’m matching energy by this point and having the same demeaning and rude tone she does for absolutely no reason, I instead get “transferred” without being told so and then hung up on. I immediately called back and spoke to someone else who was understanding and kind. I got my appointment set and she checked my child’s and low and behold the appointment had not been rescheduled. They have one number for all locations so you never know who you’re getting on the phone. The ridgeland location, at least at one point, had a cell phone separately you could call and get through to someone because the calls being answered is such an issue. Previously, I’ve had to call umpteen dozen times for daysssss before getting an answer, med requests weren’t being filled or given over to the provider. Their downfall will be who they choose to hire to simply answer phones and make appointments.
